About Steve’s Thinking Space:

The initial intent of Steve’s Thinking Space was to provide a place for people to visit to read about positive things.  Positivity will continue to be a major theme here.  After writing content for this blog for over two years though, I have noticed Steve’s Thinking Space evolving slightly from its original purpose.  During this time I have recognized that I have two key interests that I not only want to explore for myself and write about, but that I also want to help other people with exploring.  Those interests are spirituality and peace.

Spirituality – I find that this word is difficult for most people to define (including me) and for that reason many do not try.  While I have always contemplated spirituality privately, it took me 45 years to get up the nerve to start discussing it publicly.  I believe that spirituality is very personal and can mean different things to different people and for that reason I am not going to try to define spirituality here at Steve’s Thinking Space as I want to honor each individual’s right to their own thoughts and beliefs.  What I can say though is that some key components of spiritual living for me are mindfulness, compassion, empathy, service and much more.  I will explore these concepts often on this blog.

Peace – Two major concepts I want to convey about peace  through my writing at Steve’s Thinking Space are:

Peace Is Possible – Really nothing is possible if we do not take measures to make it happen.  In order to take steps to help bring about peace we have to first believe that peace is possible.

Personal/Inner Peace – There cannot be world peace without inner/personal peace.  So, for anyone that wants world peace, the first step is to look inside and find ways to strive for peace within.

Finally, my first post ever at Steve’s Thinking Space titled, “Hello From Steve’s Thinking Space“, also helps to explain my original vision for this blog and is still quite relevant.

About Me:

For those that do not know me already, my name is Steve Strother.  I created this blog to share my thoughts about positive things such as peace, spirituality, compassion, forgiveness, beauty and much more.  These are topics of interest to me, and I hope to help others through my writing, by sharing my thoughts and experiences in these areas via my posts here at Steve’s Thinking Space.  I am a husband, father, human being exploring ways to get past the status quo.  In addition to studying and writing about the topics described above I also spend my time traveling for work, running, attending minor league baseball games, and being with my family.

I hope you enjoy Steve’s Thinking  Space!  Please let me know what you think by leaving a comment!

With Peace and Gratitude,

Steve Strother
